Adolescent present

Pedalling to school like mad on my pushbike to save money on fuel
Laying aside every penny I earned so I could ask her to be mine
And then I would take her for a burger and chips after school
But the presents I bought she denied them, oh life was so cruel

I was spoilt at school with a sight for my sore eyes
Oh every day was like a party in my adolescent brain
And I still think today that girls with bigger boobs
Can make peace much better than boys can create war
Even though all she did was cause heartache and pain

I was running faster on my hormones than my moped did on gasoline
And I do remember it oh so well, I was just about sixteen years old
So incredibly good at Math but really terrible at the old game of love
With a hefty bag full of books and a heavy crush on sweet Christine

I was spoilt at school with a sight for my sore eyes
Oh every day was like a party in my adolescent brain
And I still think today that girls with bigger boobs
Can make peace much better than boys can create war
Even though she caused me so much heartache and pain

Just to look at her blonde hair and smile I was always present
I wouldn’t want to miss out on a single school day without her
So with a high school attendance record that was second to none
A diploma with straight A’s but I was one big single Adolescent

I was spoilt at school with a sight for my sore eyes
Oh every day was like a party in my adolescent brain
And I still think today that girls with bigger boobs
Can make peace much better than boys can create war
Even when she caused me all that heartache and pain
