Tomorrow is Infusion again. I have this every three weeks. A lot of people ask me what is wrong and then I have to explain to them. So I thought it would be a good idea to write it down here in my blog. So I don’t have to explain it all the time although I don’t mind telling it really if you ask me nicely.
I have a rare genetic birth defect which causes blood defects and problems in the heart rhythm. I have no active B-cells and the immuno-globulines in most sub classes are absent. Apart from that I am intolerant to most antibiotics. In lay terms: I have lazy officers and no soldiers. Can’t win a war with that. The infusion is like the French Foreign Legion of the blood and called Nanogam. It’s human blood replacement for what’s lacking in my blood. I get it every three weeks. It is bearable but after a few hours I get ‘knocked on the head’ with it and usually fall asleep then. Takes a day to recuperate and then I’m back on my feet.
I bought a nice walking cane the other day. Looking very dapper in my three piece suit to church with that I reckon. Since I won’t get better anymore I thought I might as well buy one instead of moaning all the time with a weakening body. Glass is half full after all don’t you think? Have a nice day.
P.S. You think I will need a bob hat to make the picture complete then?
