Merry Christmas to you. And a happy new Year.
I know you are not Santa and you do not give away things for free. But this is a time to be merry so I am going to ask you anyway.
A little while ago you decided that the Server.app should change and most services in it were programmed out, amongst which was Mail. I love getting mail, I love the fact it arrives on that beautiful Mac mini in folders neatly programmed per user and I can manage that server with the Server.app.
I also like showing off with some websites that are hosted on it, and I often brag about it to friends that it’s my very own Apple Mac mini server bringing it to them, like this website.
We, thousands of other Apple Server.app users and I, were very, very, very content with this but it has become unmanageable now since we have to update each service manually and we lack the know how that your development teams have.
So, even though I know it must be almost impossible, I ask you this Christmas to give it another update for Web and Mail, amavisd, postfix, clamav, dovecot, apache and all the other things you put in our Server.app stocking over the last years. Be our Santa, just for once.
But even if you don’t: Merry Christmas to you Tim. And a happy new Year.
