Spider Jack

This is a very sad story about Spider Jack

Who one day got so restless so he went away
With all his belongings on his little shoulder

Wrapped in his big red handkerchief knapsack

He said he wanted to see the world out there
Even though his friends begged him not to go

So he left his web and went to never come back

And there was nothing more that he could say
Although he knew the air was getting colder

Walked a mile or twenty along the dirty track

Got lost and ended up in the middle of nowhere
Oh so stubborn even though friends told him so

8 Clogs on his spider feet went clickety clack

Off he went, bye bye Spider Jack

Somewhere Elsie

Her parents didn’t expect this to happen
When they were waiting for a healthy child
And the doctors did not know the cause
But they would love her always and forever

Of course they worried about later
When they would not be there anymore
Would there be someone to love her then
Where she is happy all the time

But her mind is far away in Somewhere Elsie
We can only see her like the things she’s watching
In another place that’s unknown in our world
Where she is happy all the time

Somewhere Elsie, where the sun is warm
You can see it shining in her smile

Somewhere, Elsie

Actually the title wasn’t made up by myself but quoted from once a colleague in a different place and time. Elsie was always happy, smiling and enjoying the things we could not see. As if her mind was in a totally different place filled with laughter. As my colleague would say, she’s Somewhere Elsie.

Mister Elephant has a cold

Oh help, help! Mister Elephant has a cold!
Please tell him where the medicine is sold

He blew his nose all birds were gone
He blew his nose in an enormous hanky

Chasing off eleven Zebras in the park
And in the waiting room at the doctor’s

He blew away the wall with one sneeze
He blew away doc’s assistant in one go

Oh help, help! Mister Elephant has a cold!
Please tell him where the medicine is sold

Doctor Spoonbill wanted to stuck a needle in his butt

He blew off the curtains with one shout
He blew off the table that giant spout

Doctor Spoonbill, Mister Elephant has a cold!
Would you tell him where the medicine is sold
